About...

As the name suggests, The Russia Memo publishes daily news briefings on the top stories from Russia.
It is published by The Bulletin, a weekly newspaper for Central Asia and the South Caucasus that was set up in 2010. Its editor is James Kilner a former Reuters and Daily Telegraph Russia correspondent.
Why The Memo? Because the morning memo is a document that a correspondent sends to his/her Foreign Desk at HQ with the top stories for the day. That's what you're getting here, a rough and ready correspondent's read-out on the top stories from Russia every morning.
Sign up for your daily morning email on news from Russia. It's free for now, although a small paywall will have to be imposed at some point.
